Points Program FAQs

  • Earn Points any way you shop, in-store or online with pickup or delivery. Points can be used for fuel discounts or dollars off groceries!

    • Groceries: Earn 1 Point for every $1 spent on most groceries. Look for bonus Points promotions to earn even more!
    • Prescriptions: Earn 25 Points for non-federally funded prescriptions and 1 Point per $1 of out-of-pocket costs for federally funded prescriptions. Earn 75 Points for each 90-day script.*
    • Gift Cards: Earn 2 Points for every $1 spent on most gift cards. Unless otherwise noted, Points may not be earned on the following gift cards: The Kroger Family of Companies Gift Cards, all prepaid reloadable debit cards (GO2bank®, Green Dot®, MoneyPak®, Netspend®) Visa® Variable Load, and MasterCard® Variable Load Gift Cards. In Fred Meyer stores, Points may not be earned on any Visa® or MasterCard® Gift Cards unless part of a specific promotional offer.
    • Lottery: Earn Fuel Points on qualifying purchases during eligible promotions and special offers. Details on available promotions can be found at participating stores & fuel centers. Lottery purchases and redemptions have age restrictions that vary by state. Lottery promotions are not available in all states, see offer terms and conditions for details. Not available in all locations. Restrictions apply. Void where prohibited.

  • No! There is no limit to the number of Points you can earn each month. The more you shop, the more you earn!

  • Points and dollars off groceries expire on the last day of the month after the points were earned. For example, Points earned any time in March will expire on April 30th.

    Tip: Check your balance regularly on your receipt, our website, or the mobile app to make the most of your Points before they expire!

  • There are several easy ways to check your Points balance:

    • On our website or in the mobile app
    • On your receipt after each purchase

    Your balance updates in real-time so you always know how many Points you have to redeem!

  • You can redeem your Points in two great ways:

    FUEL DISCOUNTS: Redeem at any participating Kroger Family Fuel Centers and participating partner stations in your area. Every 100 Points = 10¢ off per gallon! Find participating fuel locations near you here.

    *Partner fuel stations vary by region and may include Shell, bp, Amoco, Turkey Hill, and other local partners.

    DOLLARS OFF GROCERIES: You can use your Points in-store or online. To do this:

    • Redeem within your digital account before checkout.
    • View your Points balance, then follow prompts to redeem.
    • Once you redeem, your reward will automatically apply to your next eligible transaction, in-store or online with Pickup or Delivery.
    • Every 100 Points = $1 off groceries! Daily limit: 1,000 Points ($10).

  • FUEL REDEMPTION: You can save up to $1 per gallon on up to 35 gallons of fuel per transaction.* That's up to $35 in savings per fill-up!

    GROCERY REDEMPTION: Daily limit of 1,000 Points ($10 off) per household.

    *Maximum fuel discount and gallon limits may vary by location. Some locations may offer per-transaction discounts higher than $1 per gallon or different gallon limits.

  • Yes! As a Rewards member, you automatically receive 3¢ off per gallon at participating fuel locations, even before using any Points.*

  • Yes! Your Points travel with you across our family of brands. Whether you're on a road trip or visiting family, you can redeem your Points at any participating Kroger Family Store, Kroger Family Fuel Center, or partner station nationwide.

  • It's easy! There are two options when at the pump at Kroger Family Fuel Centers:

    MANUAL ENTRY INTO PUMP KEYPAD

    1. Enter your Alt ID (phone number) or insert your Rewards card
    2. Select how many Points you'd like to redeem when prompted
    3. Choose your fuel grade and start pumping
    4. Your discount is applied automatically!

    USING MOBILE APP

    1. In app, select Kroger Pay, then "Use at the pump"
    2. Follow prompts to select the Points you'd like to redeem
    3. Choose your fuel grade and start pumping
    4. Your discount is applied automatically!

    At Kroger Family Fuel Centers, you can choose exactly which month's Points balance to use.

    At partner stations, your oldest Points are used first. Refer to partner location for Points redemption instructions.

  • Absolutely! Your Points are flexible. You can:

    • Use your Points for fuel discounts
    • Use your Points for dollars off groceries 
    • Split your Points between both!

    It's completely up to you. Just remember that Points expire at the end of the month after they're earned, so use them before they're gone!
