HIC’s Easy-Read Deep Fry Thermometer, with universal temperatures in both Fahrenheit and Celsius, takes accurate temperature readings (between 100 and 500-degrees Fahrenheit) for precision cooking. It’s NSF with a moveable red target temperature indicator and a protective sheath. Simply clean the thermometer with a damp cloth before first use. Clip the thermometer to the inside rim of the pot. For an accurate temperature, insert the point of the stem (at least 2-inches) into the oil without it touching the bottom of the pot, slide the red indicator to the target temperature, and cook food according to recipe. For ongoing accuracy, the thermometer is easily recalibrated as needed with the simple use of a wrench. Perfect for candy making, from thread to hard-crack stages, and making jelly, too.
