Q: Where is your hometown?

A: Just south of Ann Arbor, MI just outside a town called Milan.

Q: What neighborhood do you live in/which Mariano’s do you frequent?

A: I live in Humboldt Park. The Mariano’s on West Chicago Avenue is always easy to stop by on the way home from work, but I also often find myself around Halsted which makes 1500 N. Clybourn location a fun and easy place to shop for me as well.

Q: What food is your guilty pleasure?

A: A really good burger or pizza.

Q: What is the last meal you ate?

A: Hummus, pita, roasted carrots and beets, ground beef with parsley and pine nuts.

Q: What is your favorite ingredient to use in cooking?

A: Onions! I think they add flavor to so many dishes!

Q: Whose cooking are you most inspired by?

A: My mother’s.

Q: What would your last meal on earth be?

A: Most likely an incredible burger with dry-aged ground beef, pickles.

Q: What’s your go to condiment?

A: Mustard. So many different types, it is delicious and healthy.

Q: What’s your favorite beverage (non-alcoholic or alcoholic)?

A: WINE! Of all colors and styles, as long as it’s good.

Q: What is the one thing you can’t leave a Mariano’s without buying?

A: A bottle of wine.

Q: What’s your favorite dessert?

A: A really good vanilla cupcake.

Q: What’s your favorite fresh ingredient?

A: Lemons and parsley. I think they brighten so many dishes so easily!

Q: What product are you obsessed with?

A: If I can’t make fresh pasta, I love buying the imported fresh pastas that is carried by Mariano’s!
