Our company mission is to improve outcomes by creating solutions that combine health, wellness, and nutrition, while connecting people on an emotional and personal level. Kroger Health is committed to providing a holistic, personalized, quality health experience.

What to Expect

In addition to patient-centered prescription dispensing, personalized health services across Kroger Health pharmacies include health screenings, point-of-care testing, vaccines, medication management and optimization, and disease management and education.

Select pharmacy locations offer the Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP), transition of care services, and advanced prescriptive and professional services as established by state scope of practice.

Our pharmacists collaborate with our nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and dietitians, in addition to external providers, in the provision of patient care.

Kroger Health, a leader in providing COVID-19 vaccination and testing services across the nation during the pandemic, remains dedicated to serving all community health needs.

Leadership, management, practice-based research, teaching, and advocacy are also a focus of our residency programs as we prepare the future leaders in community pharmacy practice. Residents will:

  • Participate in a leadership-development program,
  • Participate in professional development calls with a curated list of presenters,
  • Present their research projects at the APhA Annual Meeting & Exposition,
  • Teach and precept student pharmacists, advocate for the profession, and
  • Interface with Kroger Health leaders to move pharmacy practice forward.

Program graduates are well prepared to become pharmacy managers and grow into additional leadership roles within The Kroger Co and beyond.

"I am incredibly appreciative of the opportunities that Kroger Health has provided for me through my residency. It is very apparent that Kroger Health values community pharmacy residencies, and I am proud to work for a company that invests in its people and the future of pharmacy. There is not a better group of people to lead the future of community pharmacy practice than those associated with Kroger Health Community Pharmacy Residencies. The connections I have built because of this residency will help carry me throughout my entire pharmacist career. "
